Surefooted LLC aims to redefine fall prevention by integrating the latest advances in balance and gait research into its innovative technology. The company has over a decade of experience developing technologies that induce losses of balance and falls.
The Founders
Udai Jayakumar MD, MBA
Udai has practiced as a palliative and primary care physician for over 20 years. Through various clinical and leadership roles, he understands the impact of falls on individuals and healthcare organizations. He attended medical school at the University of Maryland. After completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, joined the faculty and started practicing primary care and palliative medicine while getting an MBA and co-founding Surefooted LLC.
Brad Taras, MBA
Brad is co-founder and CTO of Surefooted. An engineer with a strong record of leadership in innovative technologies, he brings years of experience in product development and marketing. Brad has led the invention and refinement of multiple iterations of the Surefooted Trainer, drawing on his deep product expertiese. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
